What a week!!!!

After setting up the RV down at Mom and Pop's, Jim and I decided to take a week off and enjoy ourselves with visiting family.  Jim's Aunt Thanna (Tody) and Aunt Charlotte (Punkie) came in on Thursday, then his cousin Pam and her husband Mark came on Saturday. Kate also arrived on Saturday with her little Littles.  Had great time visiting and catching up, got in some shopping and lots of eating.  Frog leg festival on Sunday also.

While getting ready to leave Monday, some bad news arrived.  Grammy had passed away Monday morning while in Wisconsin.  She was 86.  We stayed with original plans and came home anyway until funeral plans were made.  Got word that funeral is Saturday so another trip to Ft. Pierce is planned for Friday.

Of course while we are here at home let's have some things go awry.  House sale fell through for the time being and hot water heater for bathrooms went out.  Jim is fixing it as I write this, but he's not happy about it....lol.  Thank goodness he has the knowledge to repair things and we don't have to call someone every time something breaks.

Busy Week

This has been a busy week for us.  It started out painful with everyone going back to work and school after the Holidays  That meant alarms going off and grumpy people.  Tuesday, Jim and I hooked up the travel trailer and pulled it down to Mom and Pop's.  We stayed until Thursday and made lists of things that we forgot or that were needed to take back for our week long stay next week.

Worked today on taking down all the Christmas decorations.  Makes for a depressing day, but also makes me want to redecorate now that everything looks so bare.  Maybe I'll do some thrift shopping with Carel next week for some new inspiration pieces.  Have so many ideas and projects in my head but it's hard to carve out the time to get the "xtras" done when the everyday things take up so much of your time.

Happy Anniversary

26 years ago today, I married my best friend.  We have seen a lot and been through a lot, but we are still going strong.  We have built a wonderful life together and I cant imagine anyone else I would want to go through this life with.

Went out to lunch, then to Sam's.  Came home and watched a movie..nice, quiet day.  Will celebrate in Feb with trip to Savannah.

Happy New Year

Had a good day.  Made the usual Southern traditional lunch of black eyed peas, greens and pork.  Went with Jim to take the RV to car wash.  Getting it ready to take to Ft. Pierce next week.  Ball games on today.  Watching Alabama get their hind ends handed to them by Ohio.  Hope they can pull out of this, but it's not looking good.
Jim is already asking when I'm going to take down Christmas decorations, but I can't bring myself to start that task yet.  I know the house will look bare without all the extras, so I will put it off as long as possible.  Besides, Logan will get upset when the lights go "bye-bye".
Didn't make but a couple of resolutions for this year and one of them is trying to keep his blog going.  It's hard to remember everything that happens during the course of the year and this is the best way I can think of.
